I just got an email from my niece telling me how happy she is and how things are finally looking up. And I wanted to share, because I know many of you have been burdened with us over this.
It's a funny thing: Life isn't always so good. But sometimes when it is good, it is downright great.

Huzzah!
When I was much older than the kid in the picture, I realized that we would eventually sell our house (my parents never wanted to live in Alaska anyway). I wanted to make sure that it had our imprint forever. So I got a lot of very small stickers, pinkie-nail sized or less, and put them in really obscure places. On the ends of curtain rods. Underneath bookshelves. On the edges of ceiling tiles.
I bet, unless the new occupants have redone the whole basement, they still have stickers. This pleases the 10-year-old part of me very much.
Hooray for good news! We can use a lot more of those. And those stickers will get everywhere...but mostly on the carpet or the thing that will give it the paint if you try to peel it off.
Good to hear!
Yay, good news!
Don't forget the floor! Hardest place to get them off!
....and the living room wall, the kitchen cabinets, the coffee table.....
Glad to hear things are going so well for your niece.
