Open Thread: Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everybody!  I welcomed in 2014 in the traditional way: by drinking too much wine and attempting to set my backyard on fire with a poorly-aimed firework!  (Hint: point them AWAY from the trees.  And your friends.  And small enclosed spaces where they can ricochet in unexpected directions.  You know what, just don't let me near fire anymore.)

Anybody do anything fun for New Year's Eve?  Anyone make any cool resolutions?  Anyone say "screw resolutions, I'm awesome just the way I am"?  What are you hoping for in 2014?  What do you want to leave in 2013?

Thursday Reminder!  Open threads are meant to be fun, chatty places to discuss anything that doesn’t “fit” into a deconstruction or other regular thread.  This can be something totally off-the-wall and random, or it can be something interesting that a deconstruction prompted you to think of, but which would be derailing to get into in the deconstruction thread.  When in doubt, move it over here - that’s what it’s for!
